A central Alberta group opposed to the construction of an 80,000-head hog complex in their community has been granted a hearing in the Alberta Court of Appeal.
The court has granted the Flagstaff County Family Farm Promotional Society a hearing before an Appeal Court Panel of three judges.
In his ruling the justice John McClung agreed with the group on three of its five arguments. He said there was no true measure of the water table, the manure management plan didn’t comply with the code of practice and there was another outstanding appeal by the group before the Appeal Court of Alberta.
