The Alberta 4-H Hall of Fame will welcome two new inductees next year.
Maryanne Sandberg of Lethbridge and Anita Mappin of Stettler will join 73 other Albertans inducted into the hall since 1971.
Sandberg has worked with 4-H for 18 years and Mappin has been with the organization for 20. She is also the Alberta representative on 4-H’s Canadian council.
“The level of commitment these inductees have to 4-H influences the lives of youth, many who have gone on to be successful and accomplished leaders in their communities and in the agriculture industry,” said provincial agriculture minister Jack Hayden.
The induction ceremony will take place in Red Deer at the 4-H Leaders’ Conference Jan. 15.
