Elm pruning restrictions
Pruning of elm trees is prohibited in Saskatchewan from April 15 to July 31. The ban is designed to reduce the spread of Dutch elm disease.
Regulations prohibit pruning of Siberian elm tress and hedges because fresh cuts can attract the beetles that spread the disease.
