Cargill contribution

The St. Boniface General Hospital Research Centre recently received a $100,000 injection from Cargill.

The money is being used for the Centre for Health Research on Aging, a facility focusing on aging disorders and dementia. The centre is scheduled to officially open in Winnipeg this December.

Cargill Canada, a subsidiary of Cargill Inc., works in grain handling, crop input, marketing, feed and fertilizer manufacturing, and processes canola, malting barley, meat, salt, starch and flax fibre.

Co-ops honored

Four Saskatchewan co-operatives have been honored by the province for long-term service.

New website

The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority launched a new website this month.

The site provides visitors with information on the Saskatoon area such as business and industry, quality of life, economic development programs, events, housing, education, recreation, community services, information on city and government incentives, and profiles of private investors and regional partners.

It is accessible at www.sreda.com with major search engines.
