Use respect
Alberta Environmental Protection and Alberta Agriculture are again making ‘Use Respect’ posters available to landowners wishing to regulate access of hunters and other recreationists.
The posters give the name and phone number of the landowner, requesting that hunters and others use respect and ask for access permission. The posters are weather resistant and can be picked up at all Alberta Environmental Protection Fish and Wildlife offices and all agriculture offices.

CGC opens new centre
The Canadian Grain Commission has opened a new service centre in Weyburn, Sask.
The centre will serve producers, processors, primary elevators and seed cleaning plants within 100 kilometres of the town.
Two grain inspectors provide services at the centre and on site at high volume facilities. They carry out official inspection, weighing and certification services at primary elevators.
Producers can bring grain samples to the centre for inspection and grading. Staff determines the grade, dockage, moisture content and protein levels of samples and inspects them for pest infestations. The centre also settles grading disputes when a primary elevator operator and a producer don’t agree.
Other grain commission service centres on the Prairies are in Melville, Moose Jaw and Saskatoon in Saskatchewan; Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge in Alberta and Winnipeg.
