Pool elections
Annual delegate elections for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool are under way in all odd-numbered districts. Nominations opened Jan. 13 and will close Feb. 11 at 4 p.m.
Delegate elections occur in half of the pool’s 16 districts each year. Nomination forms are available from pool committees, delegates, district representatives and from head office in Regina.
Elections will be held in sub-districts where more than one candidate is nominated. In those areas, ballots will be mailed Feb. 24 and must be returned by 4 p.m. March 19.
After these elections, there will be two fewer delegate positions in the odd-numbered districts. The pool’s board of directors has reduced the sub-districts in District 9 from nine to seven. That changes the total number of delegate positions to 123 from 125.
