Ranch executive elected
A Lethbridge, Alta. farm business management instructor has been elected treasurer of the National Farm and Ranch Business Management Education Association. John Whitehead of Lethbridge Community College was elected at the group’s 21st annual meeting, the first held outside the United States.
Oliver Kienholz of Mount Vernon, Wash. is the new president, succeeding Tom Risdal of Thief River Falls, Minn. Laurie Morris of Des Trail, Col is president-elect and Denny Jackson of Mankato, Minn. is secretary.
New CSTA president
The Canadian Seed Trade Association has elected Lloyd Dyck of Winnipeg as its new president.
Dyck is chief executive officer with Brett-Young Seeds Ltd., a company involved in research, evaluation, production and distribution of forages, turf seeds, oilseeds, peas and cereals.
He has been in the seed business for 17 years and on the CSTA board of directors for seven years. He has also served as a representative to the International Seed Trade Federation and is past president of the Northern Seed Trade Association.
