Agricore has purchased Green Acres Fertilizer in North Battleford, Sask., for an undisclosed sum.
Former owner Richard Zimmer and all staff will remain, said a company news release.
Agricore plans to add a Crop Protection Institute-approved warehouse for pesticides and application equipment.
The company has also acquired the remaining 75 percent interest in Interlake Agro at Selkirk and Petersfield in Manitoba.
The deal will not affect staff at the facility.

South Western Terminal Ltd. at Gull Lake, Sask., was expected to pay a cash dividend on Class B and C share on Aug. 31.

The dividend of $6 a share was to go to shareholders as of July 27, the company said.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, the company had net income of $22.55 per share as compared to $13.80 per share the previous year.
Pioneer plans input centre

Pioneer Grain is building a crop input centre at Watson, Sask.
The initial investment will exceed $1 million, said a company news release.
The site, two kilometres west of Watson on Highway 5, includes enough space to build new high throughput grain terminal.
The crop input centre is scheduled to open next year.
