MANITOBA
East
- Cereals are at late milk to early dough stage, canola finishing flowering, flax at boll stage, soybeans flowering, corn is four to five feet and sunflower is at flowering bud stage.
- Disease pressure is high.
- Pastures are good and first cut hay is completed with lower quality.
Central
- Winter wheat and fall rye are starting to ripen, cereals filling, flax in full flower, canola flowering and peas ripening.
- Bertha armyworm moth counts are high in some areas so continued monitoring is required.
- Hay first cut is complete and baled.

Interlake

- Hot, humid conditions are rapidly advancing crops.

- Wheat midge numbers are increasing.
- Pastures are very good, with rains delaying the curing of alfalfa. Second cut is underway.
SASKATCHEWAN
- Hot, dry conditions are rapidly advancing crops and creating heat stress.
South
- Winter wheat is ripening and spring cereals are heading, canola is 60 to 90 percent flowering to fully podded, pulses are finishing flower and lentils and chickpeas are still forming pods.
- Diamondback moths are emerging in threshold numbers in some areas. Wheat midge numbers are variable and some wheat stem maggot damage is reported.
- Pastures are good and haying is nearly complete.
Central
- Cereals are headed out, canola and peas are podding and flax is flowering.
- Severe hail damage is reported in some areas.
- High risk of bertha armyworms reported between Saskatoon and Regina. Wheat midge numbers are variable.
- Pastures good. Haying nearly complete with high quality.
West
- Wheat is heading, peas, lentils and canola are podding, and flax and chickpeas are flowering.
- West-central and southwestern areas quite dry.
- Wheat midge spraying reported.
- Pastures are in good condition; the first cut of hay nearly complete.
North
- Fall cereals are at dough stage, cereals are heading, canola, peas and mustard are flowering to podding and flax is at 50 percent flowering.
ALBERTA
South
- Cereals are starting to fill, canola is flowering but hot weather is causing flower blasting and poor seed set. Peas are close to ripening with chickpeas 50 percent podded.
- Silaging of barley is underway.
Central
- Cereals are heading, canola and peas are flowering to podding.
- Early seeded fields are still in very good condition but later fields are showing heat stress.
- Heavy root maggot populations reported.
- Pastures are very good to excellent.
- Haying continues around rainstorms, with good quality.
North
- Grasshoppers a problem in some areas.
- Pastures are very good and first cut hay is nearly done.
Peace River
- Grasshoppers and heavy root maggots are a problem in some areas.
- Pastures are in good condition and haying continues.
