Stewards in Sustainability is the theme of Saskatchewan Agriculture’s 2016 scholarship.
The goal is to get students thinking more about agriculture.
Students can submit a three minute video or a 1,000 word essay based on topics about agriculture and sustainability, such as technology’s role in agricultural sustainability, sustainable production practices, youth’s role in sustainability and environmental success stories.
The winning scholarship is $4,000 and the three runner-up scholarships are $2,000 each.
They will be awarded to students in Grade 12 and recent graduates entering agriculture-related post-secondary studies in 2016.

Alberta agri-food companies interested in exporting to Mexico are invited to exhibit in the Canadian pavilion at Expo ANTAD 2016 in Guadalajara, Mexico, March 16-18.
Alberta Agriculture is organizing the trade mission with the Ontario agriculture ministry and Canada’s embassy to Mexico.
It is one of the largest food and beverage trade shows in Mexico and attracts key buyers from supermarkets, department and specialty stores and the country’s largest importers and distributors.
Major retail chains include Walmart, Soriana, Chedraui, Comercial Mexicana and HEB.
Eligible companies must be export ready with a strong interest in expanding into the Mexican market.
All companies require commercial general liability insurance of at least $2 million, which includes products and completed operations.
