Farm management firms join forces
Serecon Inc. of Alberta has entered into a partnership with Farmers National Co., of Omaha, Nebraska, to provide services to Canadian landowners.
The joint venture, FNC Serecon, combines the expertise of both firms to bring professional farm management and real estate brokerage services to the Canadian market.
Jim Farrell, president of FNC, said current land ownership trends will see many farm owners living away from their farms, and they will need help running those operations.
FNC is a major farm and ranch management and real estate firm in the United States, while Serecon is an employee-owned agricultural consultation and appraisal firm.
The joint venture will initially operate in Alberta and eventually expand to all provinces.
