Potato series
British Columbia Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation, supported by Buy B.C. has launched a series about potatoes for intermediate and secondary-level needs.
The series is available for free at www.bcaitc.ca and features a video, resources, activities and recipes for students.

Alberta Farm Animal Care hosted three workshops for the Alberta Bee Program and launched the Beekeeper’s handbook in November.

Alberta Farm Animal Care director
Kaylee Healy is the new executive director at Alberta Farm Animal Care in Calgary. She was marketing and communications lead for the organization.
With a farming and small business background, Healy joined the organization in 2019 and helped to transition it from a physical workspace to a virtual operational model.
Goat handling
The National Farm Animal Care Council and the Canadian National Goat Federation have released the updated Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Goats.
The updated code reflects the industry’s progress on welfare since the 2003 code and incorporates current research on goat welfare. It will benefit goats raised in Canada by setting a standard of care for all goat farms across the country.

Lethbridge and District Exhibition
Lethbridge and District Exhibition has partnered with Global Convention Services, a leading trade show contractor, who will be the official supplier of trade show and convention services at the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre.
Opening in spring of 2023, the 268,000 sq. foot Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre is the largest development project in the history of Lethbridge.
