Alta. appoints deputy ag minister
Jason Hale has been appointed deputy minister of agriculture and irrigation with the Alberta government.
Hale’s experience includes past vice-chair with the Alberta Beef Producers, cow-calf operator, irrigation district board chair, and former MLA.
He has also sat on community boards such as the advisory committee for the Medicine Hat College and Crawling Valley Recreations Society.
As deputy minister, Hale will support the minister of agriculture and irrigation and oversee day-to-day operations of the ministry.

Donated products are from Grain Millers, PHS Organics and Noba Pasta, Bordertown Milling, CanMar Foods, Mumm’s Sprouting Seeds, Nvigorate, and Sacred Earth Soaps.
Each box costs $78, which includes tax and shipping-handling, and ships within Canada and the United States
Supply is limited and orders placed by Nov. 30 should arrive before Dec. 25.
Corporate gift orders of 10 or more boxes receive a 10 percent discount.
Proceeds from the fundraiser help SaskOrganics foster and grow the organic sector in Saskatchewan.
