Therapeutic Riding
The Lethbridge and District Exhibition donated $5,332.87 to the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association following the inaugural Lethbridge and District Exhibition Lotteries program.
In its first year, the program awarded Judi Slusar with $19,585.00 as the winning ticket holder.
Proceeds from the lottery will help the riding association deliver impactful opportunities and experiences for community members.
Details about the 2023 Lethbridge and District Exhibition Lotteries program will be announced in February 2023.

Wildfire prevention grants
Wawanesa Insurance and the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction are providing six grants of up to $15,000 each to help communities across Canada increase their resilience to wildfire through prevention and mitigation activities.
The partnership will work with experts at ICLR and FireSmart Canada to reduce the risk of wildfires and help make communities across Canada safer and more resilient.
The grants will support prevention, mitigation, and preparedness activities aligned with FireSmart Canada’s seven disciplines: education, emergency planning, vegetation management, legislation, development, interagency co-operation, and cross training.
Communities across Canada can apply and grant applications must be received before Dec. 1.
