Mentorship program selects finalists
The Cattlemen’s Young Leaders Mentorship Program chose 16 finalists for the 2022-23 program year.
The finalists, ages 18-35, will be awarded a $2,000 budget to put toward beef industry travel and learning opportunities of their choice.
They will also be paired with a hand-picked industry leader for a nine-month mentorship in their specific area of interest.
The 2022 finalists:
- British Columbia: Morgan Kitchen from Vanderhoof, Raelynn Blumhagen from Jaffray
- Alberta: Austin Ashbacher from Arrowwood, Carling Matejka from Ponoka, Delanie Ferguson from Crossfield, Gleise Medeiros da Silva from Edmonton, Heath Ferguson from Calgary, Jill Renton from Cayley, Nicky Nixdorff from Airdrie, Russell Gallelli from Crossfield
- Saskatchewan: Tyson Ringdal from Outlook
- Manitoba: James Kinley from Cartwright, Stefan Bouw from Anola
- Ontario: Danika Mayer from Alexandria, Holly McGill from Listowel, Madison Lewis from Meaford

Delegates represent and keep producers informed in their area on the latest from the organization. They must be 18 years or older, and have paid the checkoff in the last two years.
Interested producers should review the Alberta Beef Producers delegate responsibilities and complete the 2023 delegate nomination form by Oct. 31.
