APAS board member dies
Longtime Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan board member Jim Brown died May 23.
The Richmound, Sask., rancher had been battling cancer.
An APAS news release described the blunt-speaking Brown as “a well loved and highly respected ag producer with the unique ability to bring a diverse group of passionate people together to solve agricultural and rural issues.”
Brown had served as chair of the APAS policy committee and on the livestock committee.
The Rural Municipality of Enterprise, which he represented, had decided in March to “opt out” of its APAS membership for six months to evaluate the organization’s progress.
