Runoff updates
Up-to-date runoff information is now available in Saskatchewan.
The Runoff Roundup information line will be updated every Tuesday until most of the snow pack has thawed.
Updates will be provided more frequently if warranted by changing conditions.
Callers to 866-501-0888 can receive information for a selected region or the entire province. Each update will consist of a short pre-recorded message.
The province is divided into five regions: North Battleford; Nipawin; Swift Current; Weyburn and Yorkton. A map showing the boundaries for each region is available at www.swa.ca.

Community grants
Farm Credit Canada is providing $500,000 through its AgriSpirit Fund to support capital projects in rural communities.
Grants of $5,000 to $25,000 are awarded for community improvement projects that involve the construction, renovation or purchase of necessary equipment.
Brenda Stasuik, FCC’s manager of corporate responsibility, said this year’s fund will support the improvement of rural community centres, recreation centres, sports facilities, playgrounds, care homes, food banks and emergency service units.
The fund will accept applications for 2008 grants until June 16. Successful applicants will be notified in October.
To maintain its rural focus, the fund is available only to communities of fewer than 100,000 people. No community is too small to apply.
To date, FCC has funded 180 capital projects for a total of $1.8 million.
All applications are to be submitted on-line at www.agrispirit.ca/.
The AgriSpirit Fund was established in 2004.
