Speaker funding
Alberta’s Agriculture and Food Council has increased the maximum amount of funding available to help eligible groups pay for special event speakers.
The council will now provide up to $15,000 per event to help pay for speakers and other event costs instead of $10,000.
The council’s speaker and event program pays 50 percent of total eligible costs up to $15,000, including speaker fees, transportation, accommodation and meals.
Other event costs such as audio visual, advertising, printing and conference co-ordination may also be included if they are contracted externally.
