They are French teenagers who are part of Nacel, a nonprofit organization that has arranged cultural exchanges between countries since 1957.
Nacel Saskatchewan co-ordinator Randy Durovick said the teens speak English and need host families for July 2-29.
The visit allows the students to become acquainted with another country, its heritage and values. For four weeks they will live with a family and discover their lifestyle and do the things they do.
As well as sharing points of view, the students hope to practise their English and learn to speak it better.

Updated crop guide
Alberta Agriculture’s annual guide for using herbicides, insecticides and fungicides is now available.
Formally known as Crop Protection 2006 but commonly called the Blue Book, the publication is reviewed, updated and produced annually to give Alberta farmers the most current information on chemical treatments:
- Details on the latest registered mixes and mix restrictions, application tips, expected results, storage and first aid precautions.
- A listing of weeds, diseases and pests that each chemical controls.
- An updated listing of pesticide container disposal sites with contact names and telephone numbers.
- Chemical group numbers on the same page as the chemical to provide quick reference for herbicide-resistance management.
- An updated chart on group classification by modes of action.
The book, which costs $10 plus shipping, handling and GST, can be ordered by writing Alberta Agriculture’s Publication Office, 7000-113 Edmonton, T6H 5T6. Phone 800-292-5697 or 310-3276 in Alberta, or visit www.agric.gov.ab.ca/publications.
