Tongzhe Li is the inaugural Arrell Family Chair in Behavioural and Experimental Economics at the University of Guelph.
The new $1 million, five-year research chair will help agri-food production become more efficient and advance sustainable food production in Canada and globally.
It will support students and seed projects and enable the hiring of a lab manager for a growing research lab in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics within the Ontario Agricultural College.
Li’s field and lab research will aim to combine economic theory with producer and consumer behaviour.
