Agriculture Canada has contributed $25,000 to a new soils and weather exhibit at the Saskatchewan Science Centre in Regina.

The money, from the department’s Agri-Food Awareness Program, will help cover start-up costs for the exhibit, scheduled to open this fall.

The exhibit will celebrate the western Canadian farm while educating visitors on basic soil, crop and weather information.

“This exhibit will provide visitors with a hands-on opportunity to gain insights into a way of life that this province was built upon,” said centre executive director Paul Hartung.

More than 1.5 million visitors have been to the science centre since it opened seven years ago.
