Monsanto Canada is offering an agribusiness scholarship to high school students from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec who are from a family farm and plan to pursue post-secondary education in agriculture, business or biotechnology.
The company will award 10 scholarships of $1,000 each, in each of the five provinces, said a Monsanto news release.
Applicants must have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership and an interest in their local communities in order to qualify.
Application deadline is Aug. 15. Forms are available through 4-H programs, provincial agriculture offices or by calling Monsanto at 905-814-2499.
