EDMONTON – Alberta’s beef organization has its third general manager in nine months.
Peggy LeSueur of Calgary will begin work as the head of the Alberta Beef Producers July 4.
The cattle organization has been looking for a general manager since Gary Sargent was fired from the job Oct. 1. Michael Rodyniuk, a former airline executive was hired in January, but let go after six weeks.
LeSueur has a masters degree in agriculture from the University of Guelph in Ontario and has long worked in the food industry including 19 years at Alberta Wheat Pool and Agricore United.
LeSueur said one of the biggest challenges she sees for the organization is having good communication with the members.
