The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available Dec. 6 or Nov. 29.
U.S. hogs averaged $80.13 on a carcass basis Dec. 6, down from $83.79 Nov. 29.

In Canada, the Dec. 7 Signature Four price was $209.49 per 100 kilograms, down from $213.20.
The Dec. 7 Hams Marketing cash price was $207.49, while on Nov. 30 it was $211.20. HyLife was $222.35 this week, while it was $225.88 on Nov. 30. OlyWest was $214.20, down from $218.70 last week.
OlyWest 2021 was down, at $221.80, from $227.70, and HyLife’s adjusted price was $222.35 this week. On Nov. 30 it was $225.88.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices of $570-$600 per cwt., hot hanging weight, for finished bulls and $535 to $590 per cwt. for finished heifers. Mature bull prices were not available, but mature cows were $400-$425 per cwt.
Carcass prices for bison sold into the United States were US$440-$460 per cwt. for bulls and $425-$445 per cwt. for heifers. Prices for mature bulls and cows were not available. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were C$3 per pound for bulls and $2.70 per lb. for heifers of good quality or better.
The mixed live animal price was not available.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 301 sheep and 289 lambs sold Dec. 2.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,049 sheep and 295 goats sold Dec. 2.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $280-$350 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $290-$362, 70-85 lb. were $285-$362, 86-105 lb. were $255-$305, and 106 lb. and heavier were $225-$280. Wool rams were $200-$255 per cwt. Cull ewes were $150-$245.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $270-$325, 55-69 lb. were $280-$352, 70-85 lb. were $255-$325, 86-105 lb. were $240-$290 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-$230. Hair rams were $210-$240 per cwt. Cull ewes were $210-$250.
