Hogs

The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts on November 22 was not available. It was not available on November 15.

U.S. hogs averaged was $82.72on a carcass basis November 22, down from $84.67 on November 15.

One Beer Market Updates Day 3 – Lentils and beef

Day 3 of the One Beer Market Update at Ag in Motion 2025.

The U.S. pork cutout was $91.77 per Hundredweight November 22, down from $97.11 on November 15.

The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to November 22 was 2.427 million. It was 2.408 million on the previous week.

Slaughter was 1.874 million last year at the same time.

In Canada, the November 23 Signature Four price was $217.60 per 100 kilograms, down from $221.23.

The November 23 Hams Marketing cash price was $215.60, on November 16 was $219.23. HyLife was $230.10 this week; it was $234.66 on November 16. OlyWest was $224.80, down from $230.10 last week.

OlyWest 2021 was down, at $234.40 from $238.30 and HyLife’s adjusted price was $230.11 this week. On November 16 it was $234.66.

Bison

The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices for finished bulls $570 to $600 per cwt., hot hanging weight. Finished heifers were $535 to $590 cwt. HHW. Mature bulls were not available, while mature cows were $400 to $425 cwt. HHW.

Carcass prices for bison being sold into the U.S. were US$440 to US$460 for bulls per cwt. HHW. Heifers were US$425 to US$445 per cwt. HHW. Mature bulls were not available while mature cows were not available. HHW. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.

Prices for live bison in Canada were $3.00 per pound for bulls and $2.70 per pound for heifers of good quality or better. Mixed live animal price was not available.

Lambs

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 284 sheep, and 923 lambs sold on November 18.

Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alberta reported 1,260 sheep, and 494 goats sold November 18.

Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $300-$395 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $300-$368, 70-85 lb. were $280-$355, 86-105 lb. were $245-$292, and 106 lb. and heavier were $225-$263. Wool rams were $170-$230 per cwt. Cull ewes were $165-$250.

Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $270-$360, 55-69 lb. were $280-$345, 70-85 lb. were $275-$330, 86-105 lb. were $235-$292 and 106 lb. and heavier were $225-$350. Hair rams were $160-$205 per cwt. Cull ewes were $160-$245.
