Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts Nov. 27 was $46.49; on Nov. 20 it was $49.78.
U.S. hogs averaged $58.85 on a carcass basis Nov. 27, down from $67.01 on Nov. 20.
The U.S. pork cutout was $ 88.75 per hundredweight Nov. 27, up from $86.09 on Nov. 20.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Nov. 27 was 2.221 million. It was 2.644 million the previous week.
Slaughter was not available last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Nov. 25 Signature Four price was $186.02 per 100 kilograms, down from $189.83.

The Nov. 25 Hams Marketing cash price was $184.02, down from $187.83, HyLife was $197.46 this week; on Nov. 18 it was 201.43. OlyWest was $183.90, down from $188.20.
OlyWest 2021 was down, at $202.60 from $206.10 and HyLife’s adjusted price $198.31; on Nov. 18 was 203.36.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association reported domestic carcass prices for finished bulls $500 to $550 per cwt., hot hanging weight. Finished heifers were $490 to $515 cwt. HHW. Mature bulls were $250 to $300 cwt. HHW, while mature cows were $225 to $300 cwt. HHW.
Carcass prices for bison being sold into the U.S. were US$375 to US$415 for bulls per cwt. HHW. Heifers were US$325 to US$375 per cwt. HHW. Mature bulls were US$300 to US$320 while mature cows were $US300 to US$320 per cwt. HHW. All prices are subject to fluctuations in the market and dollar exchange rates.
Prices for live bison in Canada were $1.05 to $1.50 per pound for bulls and $1.80 to $2.15 per pound for heifers of good quality or better. Mixed live animal price was $1.65 to $2.25 per pound.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 497 sheep and 685 lambs sold Nov. 20.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta., reported 1,434 sheep and 562 goats sold Nov 20.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $190-$240 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $200-$228, 70-85 lb. were $190-$230, 86-105 lb. were $183-$225, and 106 lb. and heavier were $175-$216. Wool rams were $90-$140 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$175.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $170-$224, 55-69 lb. were $175-$220, 70-85 lb. were $185-$222, 86-105 lb. were $190-$220 and 106 lb. and heavier were $175-$214. Hair rams were $100-$130 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$147.
