Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available Sept. 29 and Sept. 22.
U.S. hogs averaged $73.56 on a carcass basis Sept. 29, down from $77.59 Sept. 22.
The U.S. pork cutout was $97.23 per hundredweight Sept. 29, down from $97.26 Sept. 22.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Sept. 29 was 2.396 million. It was 2.416 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.373 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Sept. 30 Signature Four price was $209.22 per 100 kilograms, down from $210.48.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 436 sheep and 659 lambs sold Sept. 25.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta. reported that 2,426 sheep and 562 goats sold Sept. 18.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $180-$210 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $175-$205, 70-85 lb. were $175-$202, 86-105 lb. were $180-$215, and 106 lb. and heavier were $185-$214. Wool rams were $105-$160 per cwt. Cull ewes were $77-$135.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $150-$195, 55-69 lb. were $160-$178, 70-85 lb. were $160-$192, 86-105 lb. were $160-$195 and 106 lb. and heavier were $170-$205. Hair rams were $100-$140 per cwt. Cull ewes were $75-$145.
