The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was $52.94 Aug. 31. It was not available Aug. 25.
The U.S. hog average was not available on a carcass basis Aug. 31, but it was $84.62 Aug 25.
The U.S. pork cutout was $92.22 per hundredweight Aug. 31, down from $93.42 Aug. 25.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Aug. 31 was 1.894 million. It was 1.876 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 1.924 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Sept. 2 Signature Four price was $242.27 per 100 kilograms, up from $233.56.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 622 sheep and 1,027 lambs sold Aug. 28.
Beaver Hill Auctions at Tofield, Alta. reported 2,194 sheep and 567 goats sold Aug. 28.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $175-$220 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $175-$215, 70-85 lb. were $185-$218, 86-105 lb. were $190-$237, and 106 lb. and heavier were $190-$217. Wool rams were $100-$209 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$155.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $150-$205, 55-69 lb. were $160-$205, 70-85 lb. were $160-$198, 86-105 lb. were $180-$217 and 106 lb. and heavier were $170-$212. Hair rams were $100-$170 per cwt. Cull ewes were $85-$157.
