The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts April 17 was $53.04; it was unavailable April 7.
U.S. hogs averaged $68.63 on a carcass basis April 17, down from $76.58 April 6.
The U.S. pork cutout was $77.61 per hundredweight April 17, down from $81.05 April 6.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to April 15 was 2.438 million, up from 2.370 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.347 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the April 14 Signature Four price was C$182.22 per 100 kilograms, down from $186.07.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 443 sheep and 802 lambs sold April 10.
Beaver Hill Auctions in Tofield, Alta. reported that 1,630 sheep and 459 goats sold April 3.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $235-275 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $230-270, 70-85 lb. were $225-260, 86-105 lb. were $215-260 and 106 lb. and heavier were $210-270. Wool rams were $95-215 per cwt. Cull ewes were $75-181.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-250, 55-69 lb. were $220-250, 70-85 lb. were $216-240, 86-105 lb. were $215-240 and 106 lb. and heavier were $200-235. Hair rams were $90-240 per cwt. Cull ewes were $95-150.
