Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts March 24 was $56.90, down from $61.05 on March 10.
U.S. hogs averaged $76.58 on a carcass basis March 24, down from $77.61 March 17.
The U.S. pork cutout was $81.05 per hundredweight March 24, up from $80.95 March 17.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to March 24 was 2.394 million, down from 2.398 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.355 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the March 24 Signature Four price was C$198.17 per 100 kilograms, down from $202.85.

Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 352 sheep and 567 lambs sold March 13.
Beaver Hill Auctions in Tofield, Alta. reported that 1,144 sheep and 368 goats sold March 20.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $208-250 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $235-276, 70-85 lb. were $230-285, 86-105 lb. were $215-277 and 106 lb. and heavier were $215-246. Wool rams were $100-177 per cwt. Cull ewes were $96-199.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $180-235, 55-69 lb. were $200-257, 70-85 lb. were $220-254, 86-105 lb. were $215-245 and 106 lb. and heavier were $215-235. Hair rams were $120-175 per cwt. Cull ewes were $105-160.
