Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts Feb. 24 was $59.58, up from $59.39 on Feb. 16.
U.S. hogs averaged $77.68 on a carcass basis Feb. 24, down from $76.82 Feb. 16.
The U.S. pork cutout was $85.35 per hundredweight Feb. 24, up from $83.06 Feb. 16.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 24 was 2.208 million, up from 1.920 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.366 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Feb. 17 Signature Four price was C$194.18 per 100 kilograms, up from $187.18.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 449 sheep and 427 lambs sold Feb. 17.
Beaver Hill Auctions in Tofield, Alta. reported that 1,655 sheep and 518 goats sold Feb. 13.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $210-239 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $220-252, 70-85 lb. were $200-250, 86-105 lb. were $205-246 and 106 lb. and heavier were $190-245. Wool rams were $100-142 per cwt. Cull ewes were $95-170.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $180-226, 55-69 lb. were $190-245, 70-85 lb. were $210-246, 86-105 lb. were $205-235 and 106 lb. and heavier were $185-219. Hair rams were $120-200 per cwt. Cull ewes were $105-215.
