Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts July 29 was not available.
U.S. hogs averaged $117.08 on a carcass basis July 29, down from $117.19 July 25.
The U.S. pork cutout was $127.34 per hundredweight July 29, down from $127.82 July25.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to July 29 was 2.282 million, down from 2.285 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.3 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the July 30 Signature Four price was C$264.41 per 100 kilograms, up from $260.06.

Bison
Prices offered by Canadian buyers for slaughter in Canada start at $4.25 per lb. hot hanging weight for bison bulls and heifers with the occasional sale higher.
Canadian buyers are offering $4.60-$4.80 for prime bulls and $4.50-$4.70 for heifers for slaughter in the United States. U.S. buyers are paying US$3.75-$4.00 per lb. hot hanging weight for prime bulls from Canada for U.S. slaughter, where slaughter times are booked. Heifers are being purchased at $3.50-$3.75. Returns to producers are dependent on exchange rates, quality, transportation and export costs.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 1,403 sheep and lambs sold July 25.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported that 877 sheep and 223 goats sold July 25.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $160-$210 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $180-$210, 70-85 lb. were $175-$210, 86-105 lb. were $175-$200 and 106 lb. and heavier were $159-$220. Wool rams were $95-$165 per cwt. Cull ewes were $85-$141.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $145-$205 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $170-$190, 70-85 lb. were $160-$205, 86-105 lb. were $170-$195 and 106 lb. and heavier were $150-$190. Hair rams were $140-$165 per cwt. Cull ewes were $100-$160.
