Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts were not reported April 10 but were $37.33 on April 3.
U.S. hogs averaged $39.33 on a carcass basis April 10, down from $42.88 April 3.
The U.S. pork cutout was $52.85 per cwt. April 10, down from $57.37 April 3.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to April 11 was 2.407 million, down from 2.565 million the previous week.
Slaughter 2.393 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the April 11 Signature Five price was C$124.46 per 100 kilograms, down from C$151.92 the previous week.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range were offered prices from C$4.25-$4.60 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.15 per lb. with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers were offered C$4-$4.40 hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$3.80 per lb.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 917 sheep and lambs and 125 goats sold April 6. All classes of lambs sold stronger. All classes of goats sold steady. Good lean sheep sold steady. Fat sheep sold lower.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported that 981 sheep and 356 goats sold April 6.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $220-$245 per cwt., 55 to 69 lb. were $230-$276, 70 to 85 lb. were $230-$279, 86 to 105 lb. were $196-$245 and 106 lb. and heavier were $190-$205.
Wool rams were $94-$118 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$136.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$245 per cwt., 55 to 69 lb. were $230-$280, 70 to 85 lb. were $235-$265, 86 to 105 lb. were $190-$240 and 106 lb. and heavier were $175-$200.
Hair rams were $100-$120 per cwt. Cull ewes were $100-$135.
