Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was not available Feb. 14. It was $38.67 on Feb. 7.
U.S. hogs averaged $49.56 on a carcass basis Feb. 14, down from $50.01 Feb. 7.
The U.S. pork cutout was $62.75 per hundredweight Feb. 14, down from $64.81 Feb. 7.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Feb. 8 was 2.473 million, down from 2.691 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.280 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Feb. 15 Signature Five price was C$130.93 per 100 kilograms, down from C$137.70 the previous week.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold from $4.25-$4.60 per pound hot hanging weight with some sales as high as $5-$5.25. U.S. buyers are offering US$3.85-$4.15 per lb. with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold for $4.75-$5 per lb. hot hanging weight.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 804 sheep and lambs and five goats sold Feb. 10. Light lambs sold steady. Heavy lambs sold $5 to $10 lower. Sheep sold steady. There were too few goats to establish a market.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,064 sheep and 303 goats sold Feb. 10.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $220-$275 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $252-$290, 70-85 lb. were $245-$283, 86-105 lb. were $210-$264 and 106 lb. and heavier were $185-$218.
Wool rams were $111-$176 per cwt. Cull ewes were $125-$140.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $200-$250 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $245-$290, 70-85 lb. were $241-$279, 86-105 lb. were $215-$250 and 106 lb. and heavier were $180-$200.
Hair rams were $125-$144 per cwt. Cull ewes were $121-$136.
