Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$4.80-$5 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$3.85-$4 per lb. with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$4.70-$4.80. U.S. buyers are offering US$3.60-3.80 per lb.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$34.90 per cwt. Sept. 13, down from $40.90 Sept. 6.

The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Sept. 13 was 2.419 million, up from 1.847 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.145 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Sept. 13 Signature Five price was C$135.15 per 100 kilograms, down from C$147.69 the previous week.
On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $61.30, down from $66.99 the previous week.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 1,640 sheep and lambs and 97 goats sold Sept 10. New crop and light lambs sold under extreme pressure at lower prices. Heavy type lambs sold barely steady. All sheep sold $10-$15 lower. Goats sold steady.
