Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$42.79 per hundredweight Nov. 9, down from $45.01 Nov. 2.
U.S. hogs averaged $53.35 on a carcass basis Nov. 9, down from $57.58 Nov. 2.
The U.S. pork cutout was $70.27 per cwt. Nov. 9, down from $75.07 Nov. 2.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to Nov. 10 was 2.589 million, up from 2.586 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 2.492 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the Nov. 10 Signature Five price was C$142.56 per 100 kilograms, down from $146.63 the previous week.

On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $64.66, down from $66.51.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.75-$6 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.60 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5.55-$5.80. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.40.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 565 sheep and lambs and 64 goats sold Nov. 5. All lambs, good sheep and goats sold steady.
Beaver Hill Auction in Tofield, Alta., reported that 1,331 sheep and 65 goats sold Nov. 5.
Wool lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $190-$220 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $190-$223, 70-85 lb. were $180-$203, 86-105 lb. were $178-$195 and 106 lb. and heavier were $177-$187.
Wool rams were $88-$136 per cwt. Cull ewes were $90-$138.
Hair lambs lighter than 54 lb. were $169-$194 per cwt., 55-69 lb. were $168-$192, 70-85 lb. were $168-$196, 86-105 lb. were $160-$190 and 106 lb. and heavier were $160-$182.
Hair rams were $87-$118 per cwt. Cull ewes were $86-$135.
