Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$58.38 per hundredweight July 6, down from $59.45 June 29.
U.S. hogs averaged $76.61 on a carcass basis July 6, down from $76.69 June 29.
The U.S. pork cutout was $85.52 per cwt. July 6, down from $87.38 June 29.
The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to July 7 was 1.988 million, down from 2.239 million the previous week.
Slaughter was 1.877 million last year at the same time.
In Canada, the July 7 Signature Five price was C$190.45 per 100 kilograms, down from $194.83 the previous week. On a per hundredweight basis, the price was $86.39, down from $88.37.

Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported that 527 sheep and lambs and 63 goats sold July 3. A light offering of lambs sold steady. Good sheep and goats traded steady as well.
Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices from C$5.90-$6 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.60 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$5.80. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.40.
Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
