Hogs
The U.S. national live price average for barrows and gilts was US$51.61 per hundredweight June 1, up from $49.74 May 25. U.S. hogs averaged $69.33 on a carcass basis June 1, up from $65.07 May 25. The U.S. pork cutout was $76.32 per cwt. June 1, up from $75.60 May 25. The estimated U.S. weekly slaughter to June 2 was 2.030 million, up from 2.296 million the previous week. Slaughter was 1.980 million last year at the same time.
In Canada June 2 Signature Five price was C$160.99 per 100 kilograms, up from $155.77 the week before. On a per hundredweight basis price was $73.02, up from $70.66.

Bison
The Canadian Bison Association said Grade A bulls in the desirable weight range sold at prices up to C$6 per pound hot hanging weight. U.S. buyers are offering US$4.60 or more with returns dependent on exchange rates, quality and export costs.
Grade A heifers sold up to C$6 U.S. buyers are offering US$4.40.Animals outside the desirable buyer specifications may be discounted.
Lambs
Ontario Stockyards Inc. reported 894 sheep and lambs and 134 goats sold May 28. All classes of lambs sold barely steady to lower, while sheep and goats traded fully steady.
