Sceptre, Plenty amber durum cancelled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is cancelling two registrations in the Canada Western Amber Durum class.

The variety registration for Sceptre will be cancelled Oct. 24.

It will remain on the Canadian Grain Commission’s variety designation list and will be eligible for all grades of amber durum until Aug. 1, 2015.

Plenty will be cancelled and re-moved from the variety designation list Aug. 1, 2015.

The CFIA registers grain varieties and is responsible for cancelling variety registrations.

The CGC selects which registered varieties are allowed into specific classes of grain.
