The Canadian Wheat Board will send farmers a final payment of $50.78 per tonne for feed barley they delivered to Pool A during the 2007-08 crop year. Cheques will be mailed to farmers June 27, or directly deposited June 24.
This brings the total payment for No. 1 CW feed barley to $281.28 per tonne at port and $276.28 for No. 2.
The Pool A feed barley pool ran from Aug. 1, 2007, to Jan. 31, 2008. This final payment represents the balance of the money owing to farmers after their feed barley has been marketed through the CWB, and after operating costs have been deducted.
