Fertilizer price trends in early September were mostly steady, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The USDA surveys input costs in Illinois every two weeks. The following prices are in U.S. dollars per ton and compare prices Sept. 3 to Aug. 20.
The range for urea 46-0-0 was steady at $370 to $395.
The average was $383.33, up 83 cents from Aug. 20.
Anhydrous ammonia widened to $395 to $450. The average was $429.58, up $1.58 from Aug. 20.
Liquid nitrogen 28 was steady at $200 to $225, with an average of $211.68, down $1.57 from the previous report.
Diammonium phosphate 18-46-0 was steady at $359 to $430. The average was $389.77, down $1.11.
The potash range was slightly lower at $555 to $672. The average was $602, down $8.47.
