Fertilizer prices dip

Recent fertilizer price trends in nitrogen, phosphate, potash and anhydrous ammonia are down, according to a survey by the United States Department of Agriculture.

USDA surveys input costs in Illinois every two weeks.

The price range for urea 46-0-0 fell to $350 to $525 US per ton on June 11, down from $375 to $525 May 28. The average was $423.58 June 11, down $8.42 from $432 on May 28.

Anhydrous ammonia was $500 to $650 per ton June 11, down from $525 to $795 May 28. The average June 11 was $577.50, down $64.50 from the average of $642 May 28.

Diammonium phosphate 18-46-0 was $410 to $595 June 11, compared to $425 to $700 May 28. The average was $474.38, down $46.15 from the May 28 average of $520.53.

Potash was $695 to $850, down from $700 to $850 on May 28. The average was $766.87, down $14.07 from the average of $780.94 per short ton May 28.
