The Canadian Wheat Board says interim payments for most grades of wheat and designated barley will soon be in farmers’ hands.
The interim payments, which are partial settlement on the final payment, amount to $16 per tonne for wheat and $10 for designated barley There is no payment for durum.
The payment on No. 1 CW red spring wheat will raise the total paid to date to $204 per tonne at port. The total for select two-row barley is $196.50 per tonne.
Direct deposits are Oct. 19. Mailed cheques begin arriving Oct. 28.
