Phosphate fertilizer prices jumped higher and potash fell in the United States in late January.
The following prices, based on a regular U. S. Department of Agriculture survey in Illinois, compare Feb. 4 to Jan. 21 and are in U.S. dollars per short ton.
Diammonium phosphate DAP 18-46-0 ranged from $430 to $510. The average was $469.47, up $22.70. It is up $33.68 over the past month.
The anhydrous ammonia range was $490 to $560 to average $520.94, up $4.14 from Jan. 21.
The range for urea 46-0-0 was unchanged at $389 to $450. The average was $417.67, down $2.83.
The potash range was $430 to $510 to average $472.44, down $22.50.
