CWB announces final payments

The Canadian Wheat Board has announced final payments for 2009-10.

The payment for No. 1 CW red spring wheat 12.5 percent protein is $13.97 per tonne, taking the total payment to $217.87 at port.

The final payment for No. 1 CW durum 12.5 percent protein is $19.66, raising the total to $202.66 per tonne.

The payment for select CW two-row barley is $11.92, raising the total to $208.42.

The payment for select CW six-row barley is $14.14, raising the total to $190.64.

Direct deposits were to be made to farmers’ accounts on Dec. 21. Cheques sent by mail were expected to begin arriving by Dec. 23.
