WINNIPEG, Nov. 24 (MarketsFarm) – The following is a glance at the news moving markets in Canada and globally.

  • A four-day ceasefire between Hamas and Israel began Friday, with no reports of fighting so far as the pause allows humanitarian aid efforts in Gaza. A prisoner exchange is expected to include 13 Israelis held hostage by Hamas and 39 Palestinian prisoners. More hostage releases are expected if the truce holds.

  • Riots erupted in Dublin, Ireland overnight with 34 people arrested after windows were smashed and fires set to police cars and other vehicles. The violence was reportedly sparked after far-right anti-immigrant protesters arrived at the scene of the stabbing of three young children. The initial motive for the stabbing remains unclear, with one five-year-old girl still in critical condition.
