- The United States military finished installing a floating pier off the coast of Gaza on Thursday, with humanitarian aid set to start arriving by sea. Meanwhile, heavy fighting continues in the Palestinian enclave, with Israeli forces reportedly striking residential buildings and an ambulance in the Jabalia refugee camp.
- Russian President Vladimir Putin is in Beijing Thursday to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The two allies reaffirmed their “no-limits” partnership, with the meeting coming at a time of escalating fighting in Ukraine and renewed trade tensions between China and the U.S.
