Winnipeg – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian
and world feed grains markets on Friday, August 25.
Corn finished two to three cents lower as large world
supplies and technical selling weighed down the market. Farmers
in the US Corn Belt were delivering supplies to make room for
the new crop, which was bearish. The corn crop in Iowa has been
estimated at an average of roughly 180 bushels an acre, which is
down 4.5 percent from last year.

Lethbridge, Alberta ranged from C$171 to C$200 per tonne as of
August 18, according to the latest pricing information from the
provincial government. Top end feed wheat prices were down
slightly, at C$220 to C$235 per tonne in Lethbridge.
Bids for feed wheat in Saskatchewan are up eight cents
compared to last week, according to the latest information from
the Prairie Ag Hotwire. Prices are listed at C$3.85 to C$5.08
per bushel.
Prices for oats in Manitoba were down five cents last week,
according to the Hotwire. Prices are listed at C$2.73 to C$3.05
per bushel.
Oat prices in North Dakota were up 10 cents to C$2.22 a
bushel.
