Canadian Dollar And Business Outlook

WINNIPEG, April 24 The Canadian dollar was holding near unchanged Friday morning, seeing some consolidation to start the day after posting solid gains relative to its US counterpart on Thursday.
At 9:00 CDT Friday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.8222 or C$1.2162 which compares with Thursday’s North American close of US$0.8233, or C$1.2146.
After a rally in crude oil helped pull the energy-linked Canadian dollar higher on Thursday both markets were taking a bit of a breather and posting small losses ahead of the weekend.
There were no significant domestic economic releases Friday morning.
The TSX was higher in early activity, up 43.10 points at 9:00 CDT to sit at 15,435.45.
