Glacier FarmMedia MarketsFarm – The Canadian dollar was slightly firmer Tuesday morning.
At 9:19 a.m. CDT the Canadian dollar was trading at US$0.7327 or US$1=C$1.3648, which compares with Monday’s close of US$0.7314 or US$1=C$1.3672.
Canadian wholesale sales fall by 1.1 per cent in March to C$81.4 billion, with the largest losses in the motor vehicle sector, according to a report from Statistics Canada. On an annual basis, wholesale sales were down by 0.4 per cent.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down by 0.51 per cent at US$78.72 per barrel.
The TSX was weaker, losing 22.73 points at 9:19 CDT to trade at 22,236.44 points.
